Front Turn signals don't work with headlights

Hello, i have a 90 rs and recently the front turn signals went out. they don't seem to blink when the headlights are turned on. if i move the headlight switch in any position besides off they will not blink but will still light up. i'm sure it isn't the bulbs but have no idea what else it could be.
Thanks

The ground wire for the light harness , screwed into the radiator support , has become disconnected , rusted off , or is otherwise not making a good connection . When your headlights are off , the turn signals are finding their ground "backfeed" style through the headlights themselves . When the headlights are on , no possibility of the turnsignals finding that ground path = no blinking .

Find & fix that bad ground & all will be right again with your lights ....

where exactly does the harness ground with the radiator mount? I can't seem to find any place where it would be?

It's on the metal the radiator is mounted to , on my Firebird it's on the driver's side in front of the battery . But I'm not talking about the one that is supposed to run from the battery's - terminal to the top of the radiator mount , this is one that comes out of the headlight harness and gets attached to the area just in front of the battery and on my car I'm pretty sure you can't see it with the battery in place .

so all of my grounds seem to be in good shape. I noticed that the blinking element of the bulb is working but the solid element still stays on. Don't know if that means anything, but figured I'd include it. All the wires and the sockets all seem to be in good shape as well.

Just noticed your post , Are you at all handy with a voltmeter ? If so , the thing to do here would be to see if the side of the bulb socket that's supposed to be ground IS actually grounded , because your problem does sound like the classic symptom of a lost ground .

went through with a voltmeter and the sockets ground but was wondering if this was the ground for the turn signals or not. It's near the drivers side firewall and comes off that harness.
