Power windows

Hello all, I have been trying to figure out why my power windows won't work for a few days now and so far I've checked the fuse with a test light and it's getting power at the fuse box but not at the switch. In the kick panel I tried poking the pink wire with the test light and nothing either. Also there are 2 connectors in the kick panel, what do they go to? Do they have anything to do with the power windows?

Re: Power windows

Thems be for the power locks, yo.

Look in the fuse block, in the corner, find the tin can(s). One of them is the window breaker, check it.

Re: Power windows

The 30amp breaker is new and I checked the spot where the window breaker goes with a test light and its getting power, but no power to the switches. And those two connectors are just for the power locks?

Re: Power windows

Unscrewed the fuse block to check the back connectors, took the connector that's connected to the pink wire off and made sure it was clean and put it back on and the windows worked. Very slowly though. Need to figure that out now.

Re: Power windows

That wire is a jumper from the fuse block to the distribution block. Might want to check the other end where it plugs into the dist block. The power window circuit doesn't run thru relays, just the breaker, switch, and motor. Switches can wear out, motors get slower with age, etc.
