Re: Replace power windows with power windows

you dont need a kit..you just need new window motors..unless you are using underpulleys, you should replace both window motors..there is a thread here how to do it..I have done it and now my windows go up n down at same speed, and not slow....

Re: Replace power windows with power windows

I recently replaced the Driver's side glass so while I was at it I pulled all the tracks and regreased and re-aligned them. They now seem to work like new, faster and quieter. However, I don't know if I want to tackle the Passenger side unless I have to!

I'd like to get faster motors. That'd be badass.

Re: Replace power windows with power windows

It's not the motors that are the problem, it's the wiring. You need to add relays in the system to help it run better.

Here's a diagram, it's for 2nd Gens but it should be similar for 3rd Gens. I haven't done it but I've read only good things about this :

Re: Replace power windows with power windows

Where is the relay located on a third gen?

Re: Replace power windows with power windows

I think there is no relay on 3rd Gens and it wired straight to the fuse box so it should make the mod even simpler.
