I have a different wiring harness then the original make of the car apparently. I have the 6 wire connector on my harness but my car is a 92 camaro. What year should I look for on a wiper motor so my connector will work?

The wiper motors changed throughout the years. IIRC, 90-92 should be interchangeable, maybe even 88-92 should work.
84-87 cars used a different setup with a nasty rube-goldberg type contraption for the delay mechanism, and the washer pump was in the motor itself (later moved to the fluid reservoir).

The other thing is, if just the motor is bad, you can get a remanufactured one and probably just swap the covers (black part on top). Hope that helps.
