Headlight flicker?
Hey guys, i'm having an issue with my headlights.
At night after about 20 mins of driving.. occasionally the lights flicker. Tonight was the worst of nights. It flickered for more than 20 seconds....
It's just my head lights
Side markers, front running and rear lights all work perfectly.
Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!

Re: Headlight flicker?
I was using sylvania silverstars headlights and it was drawing too many amps for the power supply wire to the switch. It eventually fried the switch and distorted the connector to the switch. Replaced the switch (oem from ebay for like 16 bucks shipped) and it is fine now. Mine would go completely out. Only the headlights. They would come back on when the internal circuit breaker in the switch cooled off. Mine did not flicker but just throwing it out there as a possible problem. I only use my low beams for now and have a relay kit to fix the issue permanently. Something is getting warm if it take 20 minutes of lights on before they start having problems.

Hah! Exactly, I recently switched to some silver stars.
Mind giving me a link to the switch and for the future a link to the relay kit?
I'm a novice when it comes to electrical.

It isn't fun to get to. It's behind **** where you pull the headlights on. You have to remove the gauge cluster and get to it from there. I just searched ebay for my car and headlight switch. there were OEM for cheaper than new aftermarket crap. Get an OEM one. As far as the harness again it is a search thing on Ebay. I got mine through Amazon actually. There are cheap ones and more expensive harnesses but you need it to work with 4 headlights not two like most are. Too cheap scares me. Only issue with my relay kit is I have to get power from the battery to where the horns are as that is where I want to mount my relays. This one was actually made by Hella so that made me happy. It isn't a simple plug and play though...Also google headlight switch removal for these cars and there is info out there. Be careful with that nut that holds the light switch in. They break real easy when you tighten it up (mine broke but I glued a sleeve in and it's all good). You may be able to get away with a relay kit if you headlight switch isn't too far gone. Mine was cooked and I had to be replaced.
