Wiper motor relocation
Hey guys I’m just looking for suggestions or possible solutions to relocating the stock wiper motor to a different spot in the engine bay or even the trunk if possible the reason being is that I’m planning to swap a engine in that may have a lil bit of clearance issues I’ve never messed with anything wiper motor related so bare with me please I’m just looking for a lil help Thanks

Thanks for that solution
Do you know if it’s possible to relocate it in a different spot away from the fire wall like maybe behind the drivers headlight assembly on my car I just have open space right there

Re: Wiper motor relocation
The motor drives the wiper arm directly. Unless there is some kind of cable operated wiper linkage you can find somewhere the wiper motor will need to remain mounted to the firewall.

Re: Wiper motor relocation
Just a idea ...could it be possible to make a electronic operating linkage from the wiper motor mounting behind the dash on the passenger side that reached to the wiper arms?
i must mention that I don’t have AC at all nothing is left from the AC I have open space there as well

look into the Nissan wiper motor if more clearance is needed:

Re: Wiper motor relocation
How much money ya got , JonJon ? ....
You want wipers without the big motor , of course it can be done !
Look into the robotics world , you know , the guys who build the robots that beat the crap outta each other (Battlebots) , those guys have got actuators plenty strong enough to move your wiper arms that could be hidden in where the linkage now lives . An Arduino driving a few solenoids and your in business ......
Course , if it ends up costing ya $500 or $1000 , don't say I didn't warn ya

Re: Wiper motor relocation
If it cost that much I’ll just pay it I’m trying to make my engine bay as spacious as possible it’s a Project Car not a daily driver so putting money into doesn’t scare me long as I can do what I desire
