82 Z, cut wire to antenna, now no choke power....

Guys, I special ordered a Z car in 82, yep, i m that old. Several years later the power antenna broke and just kept running. I cut a white wire and grey wire from a relay under passenger side of dash. Power to antenna motor stopped. Car has set basically for the last twenty five years. Got it fired up last week after new fuel and carb rebuild. I have no power to the choke on the quadrajet. In searching for usable wiring diagrams for this car , I can see some basic wiring showing the choke , but can not find any showing power antenna wiring. Just trying to see if what I cut is somehow tied to the no power to choke.

I found a thread about replacing / repairing the power antenna on this site and that was very helpful, as I may tackle that later. Now, just want to get the car running and move it to it s new home. Thanks.....

The choke gets it power from the fan fuse.

To test the antenna motor gain access to the antenna motor connector at the back of the radio.

It’s the connector with three terminals.

With that connector unplugged, ground the
gray wire, and apply power to the green wire.

If the antenna is good it will raise.

Next, this time ground the
green wire, and apply power to the
White wire.

If the antenna is good it will retract.

Happy Racing !
