On my 92 Firebird, the odometer usually takes 2-3km before it starts working. The speedometer works fine. Seems to be pretty consistent. Problem started 2 years ago so I swapped out the whole cluster and the problem disappeared. Now the exact problem is back. After the car sits for a bit and I start driving, it takes 2-3km before the odometer starts turning. I can't see two clusters having the exact same problem? I looked at the gears when I did the swap and none were broken. Maybe some gear lube? Looking to see if anybody else has had the same problem.
