Wiring from gas tank connector?
There is a connector on the wall opposite the gas tank where the sender and pump plugs in. Inside the car, what side are the wire and are they easy to get to?

fold down the back seat and lift the carpet, you can get to the bulkhead connector back from there. Probably the easiest place to access it.
