Turn Signal- Driver Side Front
Can't figure out why only the drivers side front aren't flashing. The bulbs (fog and side marker) work because they light up when lights are turned on. Could it be something in the switch on the column? Not sure where else to look. Thanks all!

Re: Turn Signal- Driver Side Front
I read that is the flasher works on one side it's in good shape so did not go down that path. Still stumped.
Re: Turn Signal- Driver Side Front
stock flasher in these cars works by the circuit overheating and resetting causing the flash. I upgraded to an electronic flasher for cheap. Did you make sure ALL the lights are working? could be too that maybe its not pulling enough power/heat to reset the circuit. other than that, i'd try a new flasher personally.

Re: Turn Signal- Driver Side Front
Thanks again, do you have a link to the electronic flasher you use?
Flasher currently works on passenger side....however passenger side dash bulb is out!
Driver side dash bulb works/flashes however front flashers don't work (but bulbs light up with lights on).
Side issue-when interior lights are turned on, voltage drops to zero. Is that indicative of a ground issue?

i believe this one should fit....i just went to NAPA and they had one for my car https://www.zoro.com/lumapro-electro...yABEgKrFfD_BwE
also, here's someone with a similar problem (but 2nd gen) who solved it. the route to solving it had some good ideas if this flasher doesn't work out

Does the left turn indicator on the dash work?
If yes, the problem is from that point to the front of the car.
Look at the easy things first.
Check the bulb to make sure it is correct type, and installed correctly.
A common mistake is people installing dual filament bulbs 180° rotated.
Does the left bulb function normally with the hazards?
If no, check the left socket for a bad crimp, dirty/damaged contacts.

How Come Some Drivers On The Street Don’t Know How To Make A Turn In One Direction Without Starting By Turning In The Opposite Direction?

Re: Turn Signal- Driver Side Front
I swapped the flasher but no luck.
Does the left turn indicator on the dash work? YES
Check the bulb to make sure it is correct type, and installed correctly. I swapped bulbs to passenger side and they work fine over there.
A common mistake is people installing dual filament bulbs 180° rotated.
Does the left bulb function normally with the hazards? NO, the drivers side front do not flash with hazards or directional on. They turn on as lights only, zero flashing.
If no, check the left socket for a bad crimp, dirty/damaged contacts. I checked, what else could it be? Do I need to rip the wires out of their looms up front by the headlights? If the lights turn on can I rule out a ground issue? It's drivers side front only, side marker and fog that isn't flashing.
Thanks!

There are 2 starting points for this trouble shooting, at the front-left, or behind the dash.
The following procedure starts where you know part of the left circuit works.
On the dash rear pin 7 (on many ThirdGens, and hopefully on your 83) you will find the connection from the left indicator, a light blue wire.
Using a voltmeter probe that wire when it is blinking.
Use a low cost analogue meter for the fastest response.
You’ll know you’re on the correct wire when the voltmeter swings like a windshield wiper.
From there trace that wire forward.
The bad connection might be where it goes thru the firewall, or a damaged harness.
