Alarms

I was going to put an alarms system in BUT that won't keep anyone from stealing it RIGHT... They can drive off with the alarm going...

So I have dropped the alarm idea and have a new one. I want a kill switch. I did it on a ford van one time. just ran a wire and switch from starter solenoid under dash.

Anyone have any ideas on how to put a kill switch in my GTA? Or know of a aftermarket product?

You can get an alarm with a built in starter kill. Or you can make your own. Here is what we did to my brother's old mustang:
His cruise didn't work and he didn't care to have it or not,so we used one of the cruise buttons as a starter kill. We ran the starter wire through a relay that would only activate if the cruise ON button was depressed at the same time starting the car.
Get creative.Install a factory switch somewhere that it doesn't look out of place and make it to where you have to activate the switch and key at the SAME time to start the vehicle.

I have the Viper 800 alarm system, it can do/control just about anything through ad ons, its the best alarm viper makes.

As far as stealing the car, when the alarm is armed there is a started kill. No one is going to start the car. If its what you want your dealer can set it up also so that if you are car-jacked someone can drive your car around all day, no alarm going off or anything, but once they turn the car off they arent getting it started it again.

sure they may know how to take the alarm out....but if they stop somewhere and even get gas or buy a soda on their way home, chances are your getting your car back before they even had a chance to hurt it.
