Hey everyone, I’ve got a 1992 z28 that’s had hatch motor issues since the day I bought it. When I bought it. Wouldn’t even latch I had to tie the hatch down to bring it home. Was able to align it a bit and was able to latch it, it was luckily stuck in the down position. The previous owner says her mechanic took it apart to rebuild it and never got to it so it had the motor housing missing and some things. So the search went on to find a 92 pull down, found one on eBay for $100 and jumped on it. When it finally came in I through it on and it worked!! But worked so damn slow to the point it gave out after like three tries. Motor went. And went on the way up too! So I had to take that one apart and bring the bracket down and shove a socked under so it doesn’t drop all the way down. So went online and saw a bunch of people do the mod to remove it and get the other bracket. So went on eBay found one 82-92 and unfortunately car went into storage and wasn’t able to try it on for another three months. By the time I tried it, didn’t fit!! It’s not for 90+ apparently. Even though it said it was. Sooooooooo now I was able to find another motor from someone on Facebook, says it worked great. I ordered and through it on, finally! It worked! It went up....didn’t go back down. And now it’s stuck there. Motor went up smoothly though. And the relay seems to be stuck? I remove it and put it back on and it clicks. Got a new relay and same thing. The cause of the click comes from the plug on the passenger side with three terminals. It has power and the two front terminals and power on the last one when the switch is engaged(plastic leg on the latch). I thought maybe it was the switch in the middle between windows but that NEVER works. Any help would be appreciated. I haven’t found any wiring diagrams or harness ideas, so I am super lost. I also noticed it may have broken the twisting latch pin thing right in front of where the key would go, tried to get a picture, but I noticed in the other two pull downs it was the same situation, not sure if that does anything important
