will 3 wire headlight motor fit newer 2 wire motor??

will 3 wire headlight motor fit newer 2 wire motor??

if so whats the extra blue wire for?

The setup for the earlier 3-wire headlight motors uses a series of relays and such to make them go up and down, whereas the new 2 wire types use a module and reverses current to flip them down. You can get them to work however. The 3 wires consist of a ground wire (the one in the middle) and two power wires: one to go up, one to go down. If you reverse current however you can make them go the other way. So if you fab up a connector you can get it to work.

The headlight brackets are the same so i would assume the gearing wouldn't be much different, if not the same.
