Starter Wires (early thirdgen)...
Is there some kind of hanger or mount that secures the engine wire harness somewhere (like maybe the back of the cylinder head) before the wires go through the little metal tube and connect to the starter?..

Yes, there was a split loom that went across the back of the engine, and a metal clippy thing that went on one of the BH bolts to hold it there.

No idea, other than the junkyard... probably lots of cars have something that would work.

Problem is, I don't know exactly what it looks like. 'Need to find an early thirdgen in a junkyard with rhe engine still in, and the wire harness unmolested. 'Would be nice if someone here has a pic of what I need...

Doesn't that much matter exactly what it looks like; as long as it holds a split loom about ¾" or 1" dia, it'll be fine. Doesn't have to come out of a 3rd gen, or even out of a GM for that matter. Just kinda go and look around, I'm sure you'll come across something that will do the trick.
I think there was somebody in the last couple of days P&Ming about how "hard" it was to get to his top BH bolts, and took pics from behind after he got his trans out. Might be some in those pics.

Yup, those are they.
Pretty generic really, as you can see. I'd think just about every car from every mfr would have an assortment of that sort of thing liberally distributed about.
