89 camaro rs running light issue. Any ideas

89 Camaro driver running light works but not the passenger? Replace bulbs and headlight all the way around had a stock radio so no new wiring issues there. Turn signals works and the pass side comes on but no power when its just the running light. Any ideas?

It's a two filament bulb. One for parking and the other for turn. Remove bulb and test halves. If the bulb is good clean out the socket that can get oxidized to the point of non-operation. Also make sure it's the right bulb and that it's in correctly. It only goes in one way. .Also check socket for 12 volts on each tab wiring is all that's left. Good hunting!

I turn the headlight switch to the first click which should turn on the parking lambs. I used a test light and i am getting power at the wires just not inside the socket where the 1157 bulb goes. Ive clean it the best i can and tried a clear bulb still nothing so iam guessing the pigtail burnt out

I think your car should have the same clear turn/parking lamp that I have. It's supposed to take the 2057NA amber colored bulb. Or do you have an older amber colored housing? Are both your housings the same?

i took the other side off and i am missing a metal prong. The driver side has two. I guess it rusted out. Now to try and find a new pigtail. Thank you for you response

Those sockets are pretty commonplace. Should be hanging on a card in just about any parts store.

For that matter, you could do away with the "bayonet" style, and change to the newer push-in type (3157) if you want. Electrically and optically they're the same; just, they have the better connection method.
