Hatch release

My hatch release button doesn’t work the previous owner told me it was a problem with the ground but after a little messing with it I got it working for a little but then it stopped working again any ideas? Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the hatch release?

Re: Hatch release

I got my VERT Tonneau release to work by sanding the body and solenoid metal clean and bright, where they touch. I coated the bare metal w/ a thin film of Dielectric Grease, to exclude moisture and corrosion. I read a TSB that advised replacing the painted OE mounting screws with plated ones, which I also did. Then I cleaned out the latch by using lots of WD40, followed by an air hose blast. Then I tried graphite, graphite oil, and WD40. WD40 worked BEST, even though it is not actually a lubricant. I also made sure the electrical connections were "Clean and tight"> Good luck.
