I have a 1986 Camaro Sport and I'm having trouble with the turn signals. After replacing the flasher and switch I checked the fuse box. The fuse is fine but there is no power to the socket. Does anyone know where the turn signal fuse wires lead? I don't know where to start but I have to have a loose wire somewhere. Thanks!

 

They get their power from one of the holes in C100 (the big connector below the fusebox). which in turn gets its power from one of The Big Red Wires that have fusible links at the starter post where the batt cable goes.

Does anything else in the car not work?

 

No, everything else works good. Even the hazards don't have any problems.

 

Well, first check to see that both of the Big Red Wires at C100 have power.

 

Sorry, I'm pretty clueless on electrical and I'm not positive which plug it is. Do you see the c100 in either of these photos?

 

 

Ok both big red wires do in fact have power at the connector.

 

Stupid question: Did you replace the correct flasher? There are two; one for the turn signals, one for the hazards.

 

On mine there's only one flasher (idk if it's different because it's a base model) and an empty socket next to it with no wires ran to it

 

The turn signal one is up near the driver's right knee. The one in the fusebox is for the hazards.

 

The turn signal flasher plugs into the bright red connector with the blue wire, seen above and to the right. There should be an open round clip around it holding in place, but it could be hanging freely. If nothing is plugged into that connector, then that's your problem: no flasher.
