Ok I done a tpi to carb swap on my 92 z28 I done away with the harness and wires I didn’t need I went with a hei dizzy and it wired into the pink wire coming out of the driver side firewall I have a one wire alternator running down to my starter and then it all goes to the battery the car was doing good running and driving until I went to go get on it and my amp hand went to down lost all power and the car died and a loud back fire or spark came out from under the hood all my interior light work as normal but I have nothing at the key when I try and crank it and also my power windows want do anything any help wil be highly appreciated and I wanna thanks in advance

In and around whatever electrical gremlins there are that may have gotten installed with the TPI to carb swap , it sounds as if you've blown a fusible link ....... Joined: Sep 2005

Yup, sounds like a fusible link. That part is easy.
Problem (ahem... FUN) will be, finding what made it blow. They're basically just fuses, and only blow like that when there's too much current being made to flow through them. Most likely there's a chafed or melted wire touching metal somewhere. Probably a big one.
