ECM Wire removal

I'm trying to remove specific wires from my ECM, I've singled out the wires that I can remove and I've removed them from the ECM terminal. However, in continuing I got to the part where all the wires are collected to go through the passenger fender and up into the engine bay. I don't know what this part is called, but I don't know how to remove wires from that piece, simply because all of the wires are encased in a resin/rubber-like material. Does anyone know the best way of getting the wires out of that piece?

Re: ECM Wire removal

The pass through connector needs to be taken apart and soaked in fuel to remove the glue.
there is a wire holder inside the connector that the wire clip into.
efi connector makes a new design for using with aftermarket harness. It’s not a cheap item.

Re: ECM Wire removal

For anyone who's going through the same thing as I was. To remove the wires from that resin/rubber-like material. Take a heat gun to the piece and it will start to melt off, similar to hot glue. Once it was melted enough, I was able to remove all the wires from it.
