Starter and engine are one!
Starter and engine are one!
Please help, I have a 1983 Chevy Camaro z28. I had a starter that I thought went bad because it was sticking in the motor. I changed it out and put in a new starter in and now it is doing the same thing. The old starter was very old so I'm going to keep the new starter which is a high output mini torque starter. The problem is starter keeps turning after the motor has started!! It cuts off when I cut the ignition off so does that mean the ignition is okay and I have a short wire or a relay gone bad or does this thing even have a starter relay? This car has a 350 in it and computer brain has been disconnected.it runs good just trying to figure out where the starter problem is.I don't think it's the solenoid on the starter because I checked it after cutting the engine off and the Bendix or gear cog is pulled back in and not stuck in the flywheel.but it stays connected to the flywheel once the engine is started so voltage keeps being sent for some reason. Any help would be most appreciated thank you!
