New Distribuidor Help

I need some help, My son and I are trying to put the new Distribuidor. When we put the new Distribuidor it doesn't go all the way down, there is a gap. The old one slide right in. We tried to aligned the new Distribuidor with the 1 piston..
any suggestions how to make it fit?

Re: New Distribuidor Help

It's sitting on top of the oil pump drive rod, instead of engaging it.

I've posted about a hundred times how to line up a distributor. For example https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tech...make-sure.html see post #2. Pretty simple and straightforward really.
