Hey All,

I am trying to track down a p/n for a coolant sender for my temp gauge for the 85-89 style gauges.

The parts stores call for a TS76 by Standard. I have tried 2 of the TS76s. The first barely registered a temp ever. The second reads max when the car is ~140. I do have a third, but am hesitant to install it as I doubt it would work, and cannot return it if it's installed.

I have also tried a VDO 323-059, and while it read pretty good for a while, the hotter the engine got, the more off the gauge read, I suspect that is because it is a sender that reads up to 300 F and my gauge stops at 260 F. They do have 250 F variants, but I am not sure if they are worth the try.

My sender port is 3/8 NPT 18.

I have verified the integrity of the gauge.

From my electrical manual, it seems that the resistance should be ~1400 ohms @100 F, and ~55 ohms @260 F.

My original sender that worked has been lost to the engine swap and I have been trying to track down a correct one since.

The original sender had the circular spade-type connector, rather then the standard spade. Either is fine with me, so long as it runs the gauge fine.

Any help would be appreciated as I am tired to guessing and Summit/Jegs have not been able to help. VDO is the most promising supplier, but they do not have a contact number.

Thanks
