Hey everyone I am having an issue with the signal ticker / buzzer. I went to make a right turn yesterday and the noise didnt cancel after my steering wheel came back to center. My signal lights all work correctly but the tick/tock noise when the signal is activated wont turn off, sounds like its coming from the under the steering wheel somewhere. but as soon as I start the vehicle I cannot get the signal sound to turn off. Its on constantly weather I am signaling or not.

Any ideas? On where to start, any help is appreciated thank you! Car is a 1984 Z28

 

Unfortunately you may need a turn signal switch. While the flasher is under the dash, your cause is most likely the switch itself,which is inside the steering column. You will need to pull the steering wheel and lock plate to be sure and to fix it.

 

Unplug it...
