Turn Signal Sticks & Keeps Blinking After Turn

I don't know how else to explain this, but when I turn on the left turn signal and take the left turn, the signal keeps blinking and doesn't stop blinking until I manually stop it.

Does anyone know how I'd fix this?

Yes, you need to replace the turn signal cancelling cam. It's not hard, but you do have to remove your steering wheel and get into the column. There's a tech article on how to do it. Here's a tech article from a Fiero site. It's 100% the same as our camaros.

I was planning on replacing the steering wheel anyways, I guess this would be something I could do then?

Yep. You'll need a steering wheel puller.

It's a tool that applies pressure to the steering wheel shaft while at the same time pulls the wheel off.

Just check out the tool section at autozone or somethign. Youll need that steering wheel puller kevin put up and a clock spring compressor.

It's important you read this article before proceeding. Happily enough, you don't have to go very far into the column to replace the part.

Some of the major auto parts chains (checker/schucks/kragen, autozone) will rent you the tools for free. Check around. Its not too hard.

Yep - same thing. Tilt won't matter - the tilt mechanism is way down inside the steering column - you'll never even see it when you go to replace the cancelling cam (IF you had it).
