New GTA "Ultima" Seat Covers Installed ... LOOK!
Got my seats back today. So glad I didn't attempt this myself. My upholstery guy said it was quite a job. He's not 100% satisfied with the fit, but I am! Hampton Vinyl from Hawk's. Check out the custom headrests I had done. Let me know what you think! As you can see, I left the "accordion" pieces off the sides. Looks much cleaner to me.

I think it looks awesome how much did that set you back, I've been wanting to do the same thing with the z28 in the head rest

Approx. $700. Approx. $400 for covers and $300 for labor. Here's a close-up of the embroidery I had done. Thanks to Tmic87TPI for the graphic file I used!

They're in the car now! I'll be posting lots of pics of the entire car tomorrow in the "Auto Detailing & Appearance" forum. Got a local show here in town and I want to get some pics of my girl all dolled up.

Nah. Haven't messed with it anymore. That will be dealt with this coming week. I spent last week getting her ready for a local show today. Timmy, you were wanting to see some pics of my car ... look here:

Your seats look really good, nice touch with the head rest. What happened to the accordian side panels for your seats? They appear to be missing. My TTA seats were recovered by the previous owner of the car with the same seat kits and still look good. You can see the accordian flex pieces on the sides of my seats. Yours looks like they might need some extra padding to make the vinyl look tight. Check out the pics of my TTA seats.

1) They looked "old" next to my new seat covers
2) They would have been more work since they have to be sewn on
3) I like it better without them
I started a thread on here about a month ago to see if anybody had pics with and without the accordion pieces. After seeing pics and fishing through lots of opinions, I made up my mind to leave them off.
As far as the extra padding, the padding in my stock seats was in great shape. Like I said before, my upholsterer wasn't 100% pleased with them, but I was. He said that if the vinyl sees enough sun, it will have a tendency to tighten over time anyway. I like the "soft, cushy" feel they have to them with the vinyl a little loose on there, though.
Your seats look good, too. Especially the driver's seat. The passenger's seat looks like it could use a little extra padding, too?
P.S. I just got a good look at your accordion pieces, and if mine had looked as good as yours do, I would have kept them.

I thought the new GTA seat covers had the perforated inserts on the seat bottom (like the originals). Can anyone confirm this?

Looks super sweet man. I definitely need new covers for my front seats and i might just go your route. I love the embroidered bird but i might go for the GTA trans am, like the one on the fender. Anyway congrats again on the nice seats

NOT perforated. I put the covers on my Ultima seats last spring. If anyone needs pics of the process fire me a PM, I took tonnes of shots inside and out.
