Door jamb switches won’t go in
I know this is a stupid question, but how do you get these little boogers to screw in? I can’t get either of them to catch the threads.
I’ve got the right part numbers, etc.

Sounds like the threads in the car are damaged or the jamb switches' threads are bad.
You can try re-tapping the car or re-dieing switches.

That’s what I was thinking. I have a tapping kit, but it’s metric. I ordered a standard set, should be here tomorrow. At least I’ll be able to die the switches and see what thread they are.

I always thought there was a nut behind the door jamb and the switch just passes thru.
