Power Window Issues
Power Window Issues
Hey everyone, have a quick question. I have an 84 Camaro. I’m not getting power to either of my power window motor plug ins. I’ve pulled the plug ins off and tested it for power and there’s no power going to driver or passenger side. Now there IS power going to the switches on the center console. This all happened after I re did my interior (carpet, seats, door panels, plastic trim). Any ideas of what this could be? If it’s a ground issue, where should I look first ?

Re: Power Window Issues
Not to be too simple but I had a similar issue. Then I realized I didn't have the key in the 'on' position and now I've admitted this on the internet.... Windows don't work without ignition power, what a concept! Ha ha ha
Start simple. You checked the in on the switch, now check the out and make sure power is coming out. Then just keep going down the line. Only way to do it, it is a pretty simple circuit. If you need wiring diagrams I could snap a few pictures for you.
