how to convert my mast antenna to power antenna
how to convert my mast antenna to power antenna
Like to convert my 90 bird from mast antenna to power antenna. I have the correct antenna for the conversion. The wiring is correct. But I do not have an existing relay in the dash. Also, how do I wire to the radio from the relay?
Any help would be appreciated.

You need the wiring diagram for the setup for starters. Also google this and I am sure you will find videos and write ups on this.

Re: how to convert my mast antenna to power antenna
Thanks. That's out of the service manual. I actually have two cars a 90 and a 91. The 91 has a power antenna. I compared both even bought the relay. I'm good from the antenna to the relay but the relay to the radio will require cutting and splicing and soldering at both ends. I don't think it's worth it. O I paid a lot of money for a reconditioned ux1 radio and I don't want to mess things up. There isn't much wire to work with back there so I think I will just live with the mast antenna and keep the new power antenna as a spare. I got it real cheap. Thanks for your time.
