Rear Hatch Release clicks when button pushed on dash but will not release the hatch.

 

Is your starter motor for engine hooked up? It uses a backfeed through starter circuit to energize the relay, i found this out the hard way when my car wasnt finished. Otherwise i would check the relay below dash on right side of column.
