Horn Wiring help please

I have an '88 IROC-Z. Years ago, I changed to a different style steering wheel.
At that time, the horn connection to the steering wheel was no longer operative.
I'm wanting to install a separate horn button now - not in the steering column.
What wire (or wires) can I tap into for this new button?
Either under dash, or under the hood?
Thank you.

Look in the bundle of wires on the steering column for a black wire, this will be the wire you want. (I know this diagram is for 1992 but I'd bet your 1988 is the same)
