Hi all. Been going through the Trans Am, little things like lift supports for hatch and hood, lights, etc. Since I've owned it, I've always been staring at this connector coming out the driver side door where a mirror switch would be. But, 2 dilemmas. One is its a 4 wire connector, I can't find anything anywhere with a switch having 4 wire connector. Two is the plug is sitting on a manual stick opening, like the hole as shown in the pic. I'm really not that worried about adjusting the mirrors as they are so small anyways, but would like to figure it out is possible. Thank you.

 

Actually I think I solved my own issue. Mirror must have been replaced with a power mirror with wire hanging out, I believe car originally came with mechanical mirror.

 

If you still have the sticker with your RPO codes, you can find out what the car originally came with.

 

Looks like the power mirror connector, but that connects to the harness, (which runs up along the top of the dash along the base of the windshield to the other mirror).The switch has a completely different connection that is hard wired to the harness.
