Hey y'all I got a serious problem and, I need help. To make long short (this is for my 1984 Pontiac Trans Am 305 w/700R4 trans)
Yesterday I went to roll down the windows and nothing. They are both stuck in the up position. I already checked the 35 amp breaker (it was bad checked with the multimeter and blades are jacked up) and replaced with a new 30 Amp. Checked the switches and the connectors, they have no voltage running in them w/the key both in acc & run. I used the cigarette lighter power wire & negative and, for a split second I heard the driver motor work then nothing. I checked the fuses in the block and none of the fuses or new 30 breakers were blown. At this point I don't have any voltage running to the window hot wire nor the cigarette lighter wire. I tore apart pretty much the whole dash, kick panel, instrument cluster to spy any bad wires and can't see anything. The wires to the driver side motor in the door and into the tube between the car and the door look and feel fine (as far as I can see). To make matters worse, some were along the way I wind up with a dead short somewhere (the battery neg lug didn't spark while the pos was in the battery). Now the interior electrical doest power up. Thankfully the engine does turn over and runs fine. I have a few people coming by tomorrow in the morning to help me out. I'm asking y'all for any ideas about what on earth is going on so I can help better. Honestly I'm terrible at electrical issues and I don't have any real money to just send it into the shop for them to fix it. Thank you all in advance for anything you can give me.

From what you describe, the very first check should be the fusible links, hopefully your people know a bit about automotive electrical work, if not you may need professional help to find the short ....

Thankfully my cousin will be coming by to help me out. He's very handy with older automotive electrical systems. He had an 89 IROCZ that he worked on a lot so, he's very familiar with the 3rd gens. I'll definitely see if I can find the fuseable link/s that possibly blown before he come over in a little while. Tbh it didn't cross my mind that could have happened (might explain the dead short I have now?)
Thank you very much for your insight and help. Hopefully we can figure this out quickly because today it's going to be 90°f and going to only get hotter. It will be nice to have windows to roll down driving up our honeymoon on June 5th.
