My windows would never go down but when I got some buttons I was able to, go figure but the only problem is now it wont go up. So now its freaking raining and ****. How can I get the window back up. Is the motor fried for the window? what can I do?

one thing to check is the connector under the dash I do beleive it's a big pink wire for the windows. perhaps the connector has become corroded.. Also what I would do is get that door panel off and power the motor directly and see if it'll go.. if not, it's the motor.. but if it works fine, then it's gotta be the wires.. another thing I would check is the circuit breaker. Power windows are not on a fuse like the rest of the system, because of the motors. perhaps you need to replace that.

It is a 35 amp circuit breaker in the fuse block and is one of the two metal fuses.

Edited to correct wrong information.

ok this is the deal. I went to try and make the window go up by splicing the wires and reconnecting them with another connecter that I pulled of a Pontiac Fiero. So I put it in and then when i went to turn the switch for the window to go up the part that was connected with the wires started to spark. I was like holy ****. So Now i'm still stuck with the same problem. I need help. I checked the wire from the window to the fuse box and it was fine. I still dont know what the problem is.

It works. My windows now go down. It was the easiest thing to do. The power wire to the window motor was detached. It came off when the window first came down. It must have pulled the wire out. So thanks everybody on your advice. thanks.:yourock: :yourock: :yourock: :yourock:
