The black box that has the word "GUIDE" on it is the module that runs your headlight door motors, if you like having headlight doors that work don't eff with it.
The other black box I'm not 100% certain of, it looks like what I recall the EST (Electronic Spark Timing) box to look like, but I thought they had done away with the separate box by 91. Like I said I'm not too sure (My car doesn't have that box) so hopefully someone with a 91 formula sees this and responds.....

Ok thanks. Yeah I took both off thinking they weren’t needed. I’ll be putting back the headlight thing. If you didn’t tell me I might not of found out till night driving
