T5 vss sensor?

Hello I have a 1992 camaro with a t-56 in it. My VSS sensor just went bad and I pulled it out but I cannot seem to find one to replace it, anyone know somewhere?

Re: T5 vss sensor?

Are you sure it is a t56? Third gens came with T5's, 4th gens came with t56's.....

You dealing with intergalactic back orders too? Seems to be and all of the industries... Tried running the numbers on it through a google search? Ebay? Im sure some one has one for a t5 here.. As far as orings, try NAPA, home stores, or get an oring kit from Harbour Freight

Re: T5 vss sensor?

No OEM T56 Units came in any Third-Gens...
except for the Cars that we (GM) were testing the LT1 (Gen-2 SBC) and T56 in.

But those Test Vehicles did not have a VIN issued to them...
and would never be able to be registered (all they had was a Michigan State Manufacturer's License-Plate).

The 90-92 electric T5 Speedo sending unit is VERY difficult to find,..... be prepared to pay a premium for it; even a used ones will run you over $100.
