Fixed Tach but now oil gauge is dead
On my 85 IROC the tachometer was pegging at normal speed. I replaced the control board and the tachometer and now I have good RPM readings, BUT now my oil pressure gauge is dead, no movement at all. The oil gauge pin on the new tach control board shows GND and it snaps into the cluster control board. How does the oil gauge get it's reading?

Oil pressure gauge gets signal from
a canister sender rear of engine by distributor.

Thanks, I'll take a look. It's strange that it went out after I plugged in that new control board... possible bad board. I'm gonna try and put the old one back in to see what I get.

Re: Fixed Tach but now oil gauge is dead
I'd try a quick uninstall, contact cleanup, and wiggle jiggle reinstall before swapping parts.
