Let me preface this topic by stating my car sat outside, very wet, for 11 years. There is an extreme amount of corrosion in the fusebox where damp insulation collected and corroded the terminals. I did my best to scrape / blow out the insulation with everything attached, but it's obviously not a 100% fix. With the fusebox dangling, I can get the car to work when I twist it one way, and I can cut power to various systems by twisting the fusebox another way, or installing it into it's correct position.

I'd like to remove the wires one by one and clean up the connections, but I'm not sure how to get them unhooked without damaging anything. I tried prodding around the fuse side with a small screwdriver but it didn't seem like I was getting anywhere. Is there a specialty tool I can buy, or do I just need a thinner screwdriver? How are the wires hooked in?

Many of the Wires that enter the Bussed Electrical Center, are not individual/ separate from other Wires.

Some Wires are attached to a Bus (multiple Terminals that are attached to each other) shown below:


The Bus may have 2 or 3 or 4 Terminals...
You have to remove the entire Bus, with all the corresponding Wires attached.

Each Terminal has Locking Tangs that must be depressed to release the Bus from the back of the
Shown below:
