NO Power to Distributor
Hi ya'll,
I recently started working on my 86 IROC after sitting for 15+ years. I got the engine back together and it won't start. It started before I began replacing gaskets etc, just ran poorly. I'm not getting power to any component of the distributor. Is there supposed to be 12 volts coming from the pink wire on the plug before the distributor when you turn the key on? I get no voltage from the plug when key is on. I have jumpered power straight to the ICM and I get 12v to the coil but as soon as I put the distributor in, I lose power. I'm thinking there is a short some where on the block?
Thanks in advance

Re: NO Power to Distributor
When the key is switched on, there should be 12 volts on the pink wire, including during cranking. My guess is bad ignition switch...

If the Turn/ Back-Up Fuse does not have Power when the Ignition Lock-Cylinder is in the Run-Position...
Then the Ignition-Switch may not be passing Power to the "Ignition-Circuit" or the connection may be an issue.

Then the Ignition-Switch is powering the "Ignition-Circuit".
Check for continuity/ proper connection through the C100 Fire-Wall Bulkhead Connector, then from the Connector on the Ignition-Distributor to C100.

Re: NO Power to Distributor
After taking apart the C100 connector, I found that some wires were chewed including the pink wire in the harness after the connector. Thanks so much for the help!
