1988 T/A digital dash Bulbs?

So my dash turns on and works as should but the tac, vitals and info center (mileage) are dim. its not the switch since it still changes the brightness. What kind of bulbs do i need and how many do i need? is it an easy fix? I'm new to third gen life so all the help is appreciated

Re: 1988 T/A digital dash Bulbs?

The backlights are standard 194s.

Mine work fine, but it has always seemed dimmer than it should be. It's brighter than your pics, but still I think should be brighter. The dimmer switch works, but I wonder if it's maximum setting just isn't as high as it should be. I've thought about trying to replace that. Maybe it's just not sending enough juice to the bulbs.

Some people have replaced the 194s with LEDs and it looks really good.

I'd rather avoid switching them out, as I think it involves pulling apart the whole dash.
