Only big and purples I know of is for crank. Powered with key in crank position? Maybe bypassed the clutch switch?

Correct!

I am not able to access most of my GM Data Server (I am installing a new MoBo and CPU for the next Gen EPYC).
So off the top of my head; the only 12AWG or 10 AWG Purple Wire in that area...
Would be from the IPBEC (Crank fuse) to the NS-Switch on the Clutch Pedal-Arm.
Looks like maybe an Aftermarket Spliced Circuit for Neutral Safety/ Remote Start purposes...

Thanks and interesting. So this is different to the clutch safety switch (which works)?

No it is the same...
Most Automotive Parts have more than 1 correct name.
Neutral Safety Switch is a Term that can be used for a Clutch Pedal Position Switch (Manual Trans.) or a Gear Selector Park-Neutral Position Switch (Auto. Trans).
