Looking to get the factory stereo refurbished, all I get is static just quit pulling in stations one day was working fine up to that point. Need to find a reputable place to send it in with good reviews so I don't get screwed out of a stereo.

 

I had M&R Auto Electronics in Michigan restore a factory Delco cassette radio for my 1984 Trans Am. Nothing was working on the radio before I sent it in. I second M&R. They have quick turnaround and great service. My radio needed new capacitors and the tape deck was in pieces.

 

Ok I heard of them on other posts and sent them an email on there website a couple weeks back with all my information and let them know the issue and haven't heard back yet. I didn't trust sending something in to them if they can't even reply back for the email, figured I may have problems getting stereo back. Has anybody had recent experience with them possibly in the last few months or year, since most businesses seem to have issues recently.

 

I think they did my radio about two years ago? I would try to give them a call. Emails can easily get lost or overlooked when you get a ton of them.

 

Call them! I had the same issue with no reply but they could not have been any better. I had them refurbish my radio in April.

I sent mine to Anthony Barlos, Screen name Barloal barlosal@aol.com,do a google search for his screen name and you'll see he's well recommended on some of the G body forums. I sent him a Delco cassette deck with 7 channel the EQ from a 96 Sunfire for repair and to add a AUX cord, he exceeded my expectations by delivering under the price he quoted me and it sounds great. Highly recommend.

 

I sent my stereo into m&r electronics and received it back last week already. They replaced bulbs, resoldered joints, and new belt for cassette player. Tried it this weekend and everything worked perfectly. They are giving it a 1 yr. Warranty as well. Highly recommend them very professional as they called me first to let me know what was needed and price before repairing it. Quick turnaround as well.

 

Sounds like you had the exact same experience as me. After not getting an email reply, I was concerned on sending the radio but they did a great job!
