1984 Z28- What do I do with the stock wire spaghetti after engine refresh?

As the title says, I've just finished bolting lots of shiny and expensive things to my decrepit old 305, and I'm just realizing exactly how awful the stock harness is. I've got about thirty useless connectors hanging around waiting to melt, I think someone called them diagnostic connectors. The A/C wiring is tied up fine next to the evap core box, but everything else is a complete mess. Probably doesn't help that the plug wires I have are too thick to fit into any of the plug wire organizers I've seen, and are also far too long. Basically, I have no idea what to do with all this useless extra wiring - it looks like crap, it seriously clutters the engine bay and poses a fire hazard, but I don't really want to just go nuts with the wire snippers because every single part of that sounds like a bad idea.

What are all these ""extra" wires & connectors you're referring to? Did you remove the ECM or emission controls something?...

I have no idea what was removed. I assume anything emissions related, or connected to the stock Quadrajet was unplugged when the previous owner installed the 600cfm Edelbrock that was on the car when I bought it. If all those connectors were for emissions equipment that'd make a lot more sense. It's a ton of three-pronged barrel connectors with blue or green weather seals. I can get a picture if that's necessary.

In that case, remove the entire wire harness that comes from the PASSENGER side kick panel and through the fender apron. Don't cut anything. Unplug the ECM under the dash on the passenger side, remove the plastic kick panel and remove the plastic bulkhead connector. Pull the wire harness out in one piece. You'll have to find something to cover the hole that the bulkhead connector was occupying. I simply got another one from a junkyard and cut most of the wires off that, keeping about 7 and left them about 6 inches long so I can use them in the future for running accessory wires from the interior to the engine compartment without having to drill any holes...
