Which engine is in this car and what year is it? Has it been sitting a long time? If TPI I would try to keep this simple and first check to see if the fuse located next to the battery is good(its in its own small black tab mounted in that area), if that is good then check if you have power at the fuel pump relay in the engine bay. If there is power you can jump I believe the 2 largest wires to see if the pump will prime, if it does the relay is junk. Look at your wiring for the fuel pump and its relay(IIRC its the relay on the left within the cluster of 3 on the driver side above the brake booster etc). Do a search on here, there is a ton of detailed information on here for this...could be as simple as a bad relay, poor connection etc.

Pull the interior panel (the kick panel) out from behind the emergency brake release lever. There's a lovely place behind there for mice to live and it's also where the start relay is located on many cars.
