Lost power to accessories.
So all this stuff worked the last time I used any of it. But that's been a few months back. It is inside and covered as well. I started working on the car again recently. Installing door panels and inner fender splash shields. Just to get up to speed.
So my door locks, power mirrors, dome light, head lights, dash lights, rear hatch pull down all stopped working suddenly. From my understanding these are all on the accessories fuse. I checked it first and it was good. I checked the fusible links and believe they are good as well.
However, I did some more checking in the fuse box and found that the box actually has 10-11 volts on one side of the circuit but when you put a fuse in it, the fuse doesnt blow, but it shows no power through the fuse. And it appears to loose power when you touch both posts of the circuit with the fuse. Im thinking theres a short maybe? Not sure why its not blowing the fuse. Possibly a relay issue? Thanks.

Re: Lost power to accessories.
Sounds like the fuse itself is bad.

Re: Lost power to accessories.

First, multiple Fused Circuits, and one Circuit-Breaker Circuit are involved with everything that you named.
The 87 Camaro Low and High Beams Lamps receive power directly from the Headlamp Switch.
The Headlamp Switch receives power directly from a Fusible-Link at the Starter-Motor Battery Stud.
No Relays, No Modern Fuses, No Ignition Switch.
As already stated, start with fusible-Links.
The One Fusible-Link that Powers the Light Switch supplies power to the:
-Headlamps.
-Parking Lights.
-Gauge Illumination.
-Accessory Fuse, but not the Accessory Circuit Breaker.
If your Parking lights do not work... this would be the likely cause.
The LID Fuse power the Hatch Close Function.
The Hatch Open Function is powered by the ACC Fuse.

Re: Lost power to accessories.
Unbolt and Unplug the C100 Bulk Head Connector.
Test for 12 Volts at Terminal G5 on the Engine Harness side of the Connector (Not the side attached to the Fire-Wall).
If you have no Voltage there, then you have an Open Circuit somewhere along that Wire in the Engine Compartment.
If you have Voltage there, then you have to look at this Circuit under the Dash... But it Splices into 3 Legs that will need to be tested individually.

Re: Lost power to accessories.
So I tested the g5 on the bulk head connector and had solid 12+ volts there. Went back on the inside and checked after plugging connector back in and had power to the wire in g5. I took the headlight switch out and it didn't act right. Had 12v at the wire but didn't work to start with. After messing with it for a bit I got it to work. Ordered a new switch and installed today. Thar must've been my problem because all the other things work now again. Thanks everyone for the help. Appreciate it.
