Does anyone know where I can get a new "Speedometer Motor" for a 92 Z28 110Mph speedo? Not sure if it is actually a motor but I am looking for the electric coil/motor that the needle is connected to. One of the 4 pins that connect it to the cluster's circuit board pulled out when removing it from the cluster. Originally had an intermittent speedo so I was replacing the 3.9 Ohm resistor & capacitor that are know to go bad on the speedometer chip. While the cluster was out I decided to pull it all apart to make sure the rest of the connections were clean and lube the odometer gears but that is when the pin came out on me. I have been searching the internet and this site, but I only find parts for the chip not the actual coil/motor? Any help would be much appreciated.

Been there. It sucks.
I had to buy an entire used cluster off eBay to replace a broken 82-84 speedometer needle.
Perhaps you could disassemble the gauge to the point of soldering the pin back on?
Hopefully someone here will have a spare 90-92 speedometer for you.
The cheapest used one I could find on eBay was $90. (Not my auction)
Salvage yards are an option too.
Thank you Knightfire, I didn't get any responses so I stripped it down to the motor last night. There was no slack in the wire wire but I unwound a little piece of the coil to get enough wire to solder back onto the pin. I don't know if that will affect anything but I'll let you know how it turns out once I try it, hopefully tonight after work. If not I'll just have to buy a used assembly. Now that I've had it fully apart I see it won't be hard to throw my odometer in a another gauge and I'll just go that route. The only one I found was on E-bay for $100 but the odometer is at 170,000mi.
Eureka, It worked! Had to pull it out and reinstall the cluster once with the cover off so I could install the needle with ignition power. Took it for a test drive and it was within 2 mph of my phones GPS so I'm good with that.
