Power Trunk

Hello, Have an 87 IROC 27k orig mile
How can I pop the trunk open the motor went out on the pop up unit. I was thinking about taking the key lock out behind the license plate and try a screw driver.

It should open with the key, it just wont close all the way.

It dont work either, its stuck down
