Route Spark Plug Wires Stock or over Valve Covers?
The stock routing for my Plug wires on the drivers side, goes under the exhaust manifold to the plugs. There are clips next to the oil filter to keep them from swinging into the exhaust manifold pipe. Well those clips broke and I have toasted wire.
Was wondering how you all route your wires? Stock like that, or run them over the valve covers some how (but doesn't that mean the wires would be too long?)
Just need opinions!
Thanks

Check Out the Pic
Sorry its hard to see, look for them on the valve cover ( there yellow) Ill post a better pic tomorrow.

I'm not quite sure how MSD intended them to be routed but, I like to see as little wiring as possible...
(personal opinion that really doesn't mean much..) I've never cared much for the look of the wires running over the top of the valve covers, it just looks.... bad. You can use other methods of retaining the wires in the stock location other than the GM clips.
Ultimatly, it's up to you and what look you like....

I don't know how extensive you want to get... but I have the Made For You center valve cover, which brings the wires over the valve cover $41.95. If you do go over the valve cover, I would highly recomend (toasted brand new MSD wire) univeral or the straight spark plug boots which are not the stock 90 degree
angle and you will use any extra lenth of the wire to loop around the manifold. I had to use a universal wire set as the sets made for the Camaros have 90 degree plug boots.

Re: Route Spark Plug Wires Stock or over Valve Covers?
These black plastic clips are what I'm looking for. They slide on over the heavy spring-wire hangers, underneath the manifolds, AND - onto the Air Plenum on Left side
Anyone have them - or a part number and place to get them?
