Instrument Panel Cluster Relay

Does anyone know where this relay is located? I've lost all my gauges and I am still trying to locate the problem. Please, if you know where it's located let me know.
I need to rule this out as my problem. I just purchased one from Rockauto, and it is the same as the Blower Motor High Speed Relay-.Same configuration.

Re: Instrument Panel Cluster Relay

Zackly. No such thing.

I'd suggest starting at the fuse. Put in a new one. Don't bother with "check"; jump straight to "replace".

Repeat after me:

When in doubt, swap it out.

Re: Instrument Panel Cluster Relay

Thanks for that info. If there is none, which I agree with you, than why does Rockauto sell one of them. I guess only they could answer that question. I bought one and it is the one that is used for the Blower Motor High Speed Relay. Same configuration and attaches to the same bracket.
On the IP Relay list at Rockauto, Well's sells one that says " Exterior Light Control ", check it out. I don't even know what that's suppose to mean, because I can not even locate any such thing related to that. Someone or somebody, better get there facts straight at Rockauto, if there is no such relay. I am going to call their tech and tell them to get it off their website as a part, because, there is none for that engine, right?
One more thing, I just had the steering column down yesterday again and made sure the rod that connects to the ignition switch was properly seated, which it was not, so I fixed that. In the process, I noticed a black cable attached to the bottom of the switch was not properly attached and seated, so I corrected that. What is that cable for and what is the purpose of it. I can not find anything in the original repair manual that refers to it. Would that be a factor why I lost all my cluster gauges? Your help is very much appreciated.

Re: Instrument Panel Cluster Relay

why does Rockauto sell one of them.
Because people want to buy them and they want to take their money and don't want to disappoint? Iunno.

Exterior Light Control
Never seen nor heard of any such thing in these cars.

What is that cable for and what is the purpose of it.
If it has about 5 or 6 wires and a sort of flat plug on the end, it's for cruise control.

Would that be a factor why I lost all my cluster gauges?
No.

Re: Instrument Panel Cluster Relay

Rockauto refunded my money. I also got my instrument Panel Cluster up and working again. I believe it was the fuse. It just didn't look right, so I replaced it and now it's back up and working again.
What is the black cable on the backside of the ignition switch for? It was out of the socket and I reinstalled it. It won't come out again.

Re: Instrument Panel Cluster Relay

Thanks, I fixed the cable and you are right. I now have A constant buzzing sound upon opening the doors of the car. A little annoying, but I can live with it.
Thanks again, for the reply. I thought I knew this car pretty good, but everyday is a new adventure.
