Another Wiper Motor Thread
Hey Guys,
1992 Firebird Formula with the delay hi lo wipers that do not work. I can activate the wiper handle and can hear the motor "click" but the wiper arms do not move (They are not obstructed). I put a multimeter on the gray wire with the switch activated and it has 12 volts, no volts when the switch is turned off. I have read many posts that it may be the pulse board. I ordered another wiper motor with pulse board from a junk yard. I installed it and it does the same as the previous motor. I saw some posts about having a ground wire to the top mounting bolt and motor case. I tried that as well. Is there more checking I can do to confirm what is broke(motor or pulse board, or other)? Is there a way to rebuild the pulse board? or what comparable other motor can I install that will work with our fbody, since the original appears to be discontinued?
Thanks!
