92 Camaro RS 5.0 TBI No crank issue
92 Camaro RS 5.0 TBI No crank issue
I'm currently having a no crank no start issue with my Camaro.
It was driving perfectly fine zero issues then after letting it sit over night I went out to start it and nothing, the gauge cluster lights come on and the fuel pump primes but when I turn the key fully there's no sound and no crank.
So far I've checked my VATS and there's no issues
I've checked my starter relay and it's getting power
I also bypassed my starter relay and still nothing
I've replaced my starter, and fixed all the wires going to the starter because there was corrosion and wear on them
And I've checked all my fuses and nothing is blown
I currently don't see any melted or broken wires tracing from the starter back.
I'm completely stumped on what it could be if anyone has any idea what It could be please let me know

Use logic. Do some logical troubleshooting instead of "check" which is largely a waste of time.
What else (if anything) doesn't work when you turn the key? For example, if you turn on the headlights, do they go out then, or do they stay on? In other words, is the problem confined to the starter circuit, or is it somewhere beyond that?

Everything else works, the headlights turn on just fine
The radio works and the AC controls work also-
So far everything else is working just it's not cranking.

You're not listening.
The radio isn't supposed to work AT ALL while the car is starting. Nor is the AC. How can those things possibly be working while you're trying to start the car?
Doesn't matter one bit whether things that AREN'T energized during Start, happen to work OK when the car is NOT in Start. The point of the exercise is, to find out if things that ARE supposed to remain energized WHILE IN START, continue to do so.
Use logic. Turn on the lights. Try to start the car. Do they KEEP WORKING like they're supposed to?

OK, so a starter circuit problem. Time for more logic.
Is there 12V at the solenoid terminal on the starter (purple wire) when your assistant tries to crank it?
